Something Blue

Michelle Louise

"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe"

This tradition comes from an Old English rhyme, and the four objects that the bride adds to her wedding dress or carries with her on the special day are seen as good luck charms.

'Something Old' represents continuity, 'Something New' offers optimism for the future, 'Something Borrowed' symbolizes borrowed happiness, 'Something Blue' stands for purity, love, and fidelity... and a sixpence in your shoe is a wish for good fortune and prosperity.

From the Vintage Inspiration collection, there are two earring sets which feature stunning pear cut blue topaz. Referred to as 'Swiss Blue' due to the gemstones rich, blue colour. Each piece in this collection I have chosen for the design and beauty from an international jewellery house. High quality workmanship and vintage inspired designs which won my affection! Crafted from solid sterling silver and set with marcasite to glisten.

Handcrafted for the Tulip Drop collection, these drop earrings are an elegant 'something blue'. Crafted from white gold in my signature design with a stunning set of Blue Lace Agate briolettes. Beautifully banded and faceted, a unique set of gemstones. With a warm soft blue hue, these earrings will look so elegant with a backdrop of lace, silk & flowers.
